The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In Laung Lone Township of Tanintharyi Region, local PDFs completed their batch 1 refreshers’ course on special operations on Monday.

· At 10 am Tuesday, the NUG conducted a meeting. Present on the occasion were the Acting President of the NUG, the Union Prime Minister, Union Ministers and Deputy Ministers.

· The top leaders of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Deputy Minister of Federal Affairs went to Manton, Mailone and Maingo seized by the TNLA.

· In Demoso Township of Karenni State, the junta army conducted a bomb attack on a school in Dawsi-I village, killing 4 children and a civilian, and leaving 10 children injured. Regarding it, the NUG expressed its strong condemnation.

· At 10 am Monday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG and the Township Peoples’ Administration from Bago Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Yangon Region and Tanintharyi Region.

· Myanmar Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun stated that it was high time for the United Nations Security Council to take action seriously for Myanmar.

Revolutionary Activities

· In Kawa Township of Bago Region, local PDFs conducted a mine attack on the Pyusawti Militia and the junta police.

· The Democratic Youth Council condemned the war crimes of the junta army which dropped 500-pound bombs on the school in Karenni State.

· In Mintat of Chin State, two children were injured as they stepped on a junta army landmine in Ashaybyin ward.

· In Myin Mu Township of Sagaing Region, local PDFs conducted drone bomb attacks on the junta army, killing 5 junta soldiers.

· In Mandalay Region, the Myananda Operation Force opened a clinic for public healthcare.

· In Min Kin Township of Sagaing Region, a local rally protested against the military dictatorship on Monday.

· In Butalin Township of Sagaing Region, local PDFs attacked the junta’s Cutaw police camp. Reportedly, both sides had casualties.

· In Myin Chan Township of Mandalay Region, local PDFs attacked the junta army in Myauk Gyun village. Reportedly, there were casualties amongst the junta soldiers.

· In Gantgaw Township of Magwe Region, local Pyusawti Militia under Bullet Hla Swe of the USDP and the junta army killed two PDF members by burning them alive.

· On their 1,047 day of protest, a combined rally of Salingyi and Yinmarpin marched against the military dictatorship, holding anti-junta signs.

· According to the IEC, 5 people including 4 children lost their lives and no less than 19 people including two teachers were injured due to the aerial attacks and heavy weapons of the junta army in Karenni State.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· According to the Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA), the junta army beat a civilian to death in the north of Sisai of Southern Shan State on Monday.

· the Three Brotherhood of Northern Alliance stated that more junta soldiers from Taungpyo camp had run away to Bangladesh.

· In Kyauk Taw and Myauk Oo of Rakhine State, the Arakan Army (AA) took control of two more junta camps.

· The Chair of the Kachin Independence Organisation called on the revolutionary forces to prepare for diversity in the future union beyond the downfall of the military dictatorship.

· In the area under the Karen National Union (KNU) brigade 5, there were nearly 90 battles in January. Reportedly, over 40 junta soldiers died and over 40 others were injured.

· On the anniversary of the KNU, their Chair stated that they would set up Kawthoolei Karen State with full self-determination.

The Military Council

· The Military Junta announced that they had arrested a man and two women carrying weapons from Karen State to Mandalay.

· The new Chair of the junta Union Election Commission said that they would hold a free and fair general election.

· The junta minister of natural resources and environmental conservation said that there must be regional, national and international cooperation to resolve the issue of air pollution due to its cross-border nature.

· The junta minister of foreign affairs received Mr. Sajjad Mohammad Sajid, the chief of the UNOCHA Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw .

· The second junta leader Soe Win attended the 75th anniversary of Communication Force.

Summary on 7 February

· The military junta and Pyusawti Militia have been breaking international laws and the law on prisoners of war. They committed a war crime again by killing two PDF members they had arrested.
