A Myanmar People’s Defence Force (PDF) attacked an air force dormitory and a Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) office in Yangon on 18 April.
Shadow (Panda), leading the Dark Shadow Urban Guerrilla Force, informed Mizzima of their grenade attack on both the Mingalardon Air Force’s Bachelor Dormitory and the office of the USDP in Mingalardon Township, Yangon Region.
Under the Urban Freedom operation, they launched two grenades at the Mingalardon Air Force’s Bachelor Dormitory at 7:50 pm and planted one bomb at the USDP office at 8 pm on 18 April, as disclosed by Shadow (Panda).
“The timing of the grenade attack was slightly staggered. The extent of casualties and injuries is yet to be determined. However, the targets were successfully struck,” he said.
The USDP office is situated in Ward (2) of Mingalardon Township, where some residents reported hearing a significant explosion around 8 pm.
In a declaration, the Dark Shadow pledged to continue battling alongside revolutionary forces nationwide, aiming to dismantle oppressive Military Council positions within urban areas.
As part of what is dubbed as the Urban Freedom operation, Dark Shadow members launched a grenade attack on the Hlaingthayar police station on the night of 16 April. No causalities were reported.
