The National Unity Government (NUG)

· The Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La stated that it is important to make an effort to establish of an interim government or administrative teams in every state/ region in 2024.

· The Union Prime Minister of the NUG Man Win Khine Than stated that they would try their best with alliances for the end of the military dictatorship this year.

· In Pulaw Township of Tanintharyi Region, a combined force of the Karen National Defence Organisation and PDFs attacked the camp of the junta army and Pyusawti based in Mee Laung Chaung Village.

· At 1:00 pm Wednesday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG and the Township People’s Administration from Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.

Revolutionary Activities

· In Pakkoku of Magwe Region, the public conducted a Silent Strike and White Movement. PDFs also raised their flag.

· On the 3rd anniversary of the military coup on Thursday, the Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs condemned the frequent extension of the military junta rule.

· In Than Phyu Zayat Township of Mon State, the revolutionary forces attacked local police stations in ANin Village and Htinshu Village on Wednesday. Reportedly, there were battles for half a day and the military junta even used air strikes.

· On the 3rd anniversary of the Spring Revolution, the public from Mandalay, Sagaing, Tada-Oo and Inwa took part in a Silent Strike.

· In Pulaw Township of Tanintharyi Region, 5 PDF members lost their lives in the battle in Mee Laung Chaung Village on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, their funeral was conducted on Wednesday at noon.

· In Sagaing Region, a combined rally of local villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.

· In Salingyi, a local rally protested against the military dictatorship on Thursday.

· In Monywa Township where the junta’s Northwest Military Headquarters is situated, local people took part in the Silent Strike starting from 10:00 am Thursday. Reportedly, the streets in town were deserted.

· In Natmauk Township of Magwe Region, there was an attack on the inspection gate of the junta army and police in Kalar Shin Village.

· In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, revolutionary forces attacked 5 junta places including the administration office and the electricity department.

· On the 3rd anniversary of the military coup, political prisoners from Mandalay’s Obo Prison released the Obo Declaration containing three points.

· The CRPH Support Group (Norway) will carry out an anti-junta protests by banging pots and pans in front of the junta’s Myanmar Embassy in Oslo, Norway.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· In Paletwa Township of Chin State, the CDF arrested 15 junta soldiers including a captain in the Dierar Area.

· On the Thai-Myanmar border under the control of the Karen National Union, the 75th Karen Revolutionary Day was celebrated on Wednesday.

The Military Council

· The National Defence and Security Council conducted a meeting at the Office of the junta leader in Naypyi Taw. They announced on Wednesday night that they had extended the term of the military junta.

· The junta leader accused the Karen National Union of doing cyber fraud or so-called Kyar Phyant and human trafficking. He added that they, in cooperation with neighboring countries, would combat it.

· On Thursday on the 3rd anniversary of the coup, the new union government was formed.

· On Wednesday night, the military junta announced that there had been some changes for some positions including the Chair of the junta’s Union Election Commission.

· The military junta allowed the resignation of U Thein Soe, the Chair of the junta’s UEC, for health reasons.

Summary on 2 February

· On the third anniversary of the Spring Revolution on Thursday, the general public took part in the Silent Strike throughout the country. In other words, most people still protest against the military coup.
