The National Unity Government (NUG)
· The (TAI PDF) Cobra Force in Southern Shan State announced that they would follow the guidance of the NUG and Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH).
· The CDM Success Committee-NUG celebrated the 3rd anniversary of Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM). Present on the occasion were the CDM staff along with the members of revolution forces.
· In cooperation with the NUG, Karenni State Interim Administration Commission carried out a press conference on the junta’s air strikes on the schools in Demoso Township.
· The Ministry of Human Rights-NUG stated that they would try their best to take action against the junta’s aerial attacks targeting the schools in Dawsi-I Village and Loinanpha Village in the western part of Demoso Township in Karenni State.
· At 1:00 pm Wednesday, there was a meeting between the Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration- NUG and Township People’s Administration from Mandalay Region and Magwe Region.
Revolution Activities
· In Hommalin Township of Sagaing Region, a unit commander of Shanni National Army under the military junta, along with weapons, defected to No. (3) Kanty District Regiment (HPDF-124).
· On Wednesday, the UNICEF strongly condemned the junta’s aerial bombings on the schools in Karenni State.
· In Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region, Burmese Students’ Union shared the brochures of air strike prevention to the public.
· In Tandabin Township of Bago Region, local people have had to run away due to ongoing battles in the town of Zayatgyi and near-by villages.
· In Wetlet Township of Sagaing Region, a combined rally of local students’ unions marched against the Three Military; the military government, the military junta and the military bureaucrats.
· In Ye-U Township, the junta army invaded Kokkosu Village and killed two men.
· In Lashio of Northern Shan State, there was a bomb explosion in front of Sanshwin Hotel on Thukha Road on Wednesday. Reportedly, three people were injured in the incident.
· In Insein Township of Yangon Region, Dark Shadow conducted an attack via remote mine on the junta’s administration office of Zaygone West Ward.
· According to the U.S. White House on Thursday, the emergency declaration signed by the U.S President was extended for one more year as the current conditions of Myanmar posed an abnormal challenge to the U.S. national security and foreign policy.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
· In Sisai Township of Southern Shan State, Pa-O National Liberation Army caught two members from the junta army and Pa-O National Organization, who had been secretly watching to shoot PNLA members, near Lweput Village.
· The Arakan Army has seized all the junta camps in the towns of Northern Rakhine; Minbya, Kyaukdaw and Mrauk-U. According to the Three Brotherhood Alliance, both the junta army and the junta navy have had a great loss.
· Citing the prisoners of war, the AA announced that the junta soldiers had agreed to sell the weapons from Taungpyo Camps (Left and Right) to the ARA and the RSO for 10 million Taka.
The Military Council
· The military junta issued warrant to U Kyaw Lwin, the owner of the Grand Andaman Hotel, who had been charged by Thailand.
· On Wednesday, Bangladeshi Ambassador to Myanmar met with the junta’s Foreign Minister in Naypyitaw. Reportedly, they discussed a closer cooperation for the security on the border area between Bangladesh and Myanmar.
· The Central Bank announced that applications could be made for the license of banking agents.
· The junta propaganda team denied the junta’s air strikes via two fighter jets on the schools in Demoso Township of Karenni State, causing casualties among children.
· In Gantgaw Township of Magwe Region, the junta’s Pyusawti had killed two members of Yaw PDF in Myauk Khinyan Village by burning them alive to death. Regarding it, the military junta released a statement of denial.
Summary on 9 February
· The military junta has conducted air strikes and brutally killed the arrested PDF members. When their war crimes were unveiled, they denied them with lies. The main responsibility of the junta propaganda team is to cover up the war crimes, genocides and human rights violations of the junta army.
