The National Unity Government (NUG)
- On 27 February, a junta soldier, along with weapons, defected to the People’s Defence Force Mandalay.
- At 10:00 am Friday, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG provided training on Office Management Skills to Township People’s Administration from Yangon Region.
- At 4:40 pm Friday, Yangon Western District PDF attacked the junta’s inspection gate at Ziyoe Mile in Hleku Township of Yangon Region.
- On Friday, the NUG stated that they would try their best to bring back justice against the junta’s attacks on civilian targets in Rakhine State.
Revolution Activities
- Volker-turk, the current United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, called on the international community to prohibit the military junta of Myanmar from using weapons, aviation oil and foreign currency as they have committed inhumane crimes against the Myanmar people.
- In Sagaing Region, the junta army conducted air strikes near Kani Town on Saturday.
- On Monywa-ChaungU Road Section, the revolution force conducted a mine attack on a junta convoy.
- In Kawlin Area, the PDF members have provided food to the displaced people living on farms due to local battles.
- In Yinmabin Township, a rally named ‘Let’s Never Get Back in This Revolution’ marched against the military dictatorship on Saturday.
- In Bangkok of Thailand, there was the first exhibition of the events of Myanmar over the period of the military coup for three years and the lives of ethnic people on Thai-Myanmar border.
- On Friday, nearly 400 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) sent an open letter to the United Nations Security Council to take action against the military junta for their recruitment by force.
- In Yangon Region, there were bomb explosions in some townships on Friday night. In Hlaing Tharyar Township and Insein Township, four people lost their lives in an incident.
Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
- Chinland Defence Force Kalay-Gantgaw completed their basic military training.
- The spokesperson of New Mon State Party (Against Dictatorship) called for the united fight of the revolution forces as the military junta is about to collapse.
- Hpapun District under Karen National Union Brigade (5) announced on Friday that the public are to go against the junta’s Military Service Law.
- In Kyaukgyi Township of Bago Region, the junta army carried out attacks with heavy weapons within six days. Reportedly, a person lost their life and seven houses and a clinic were damaged.
- In Hpakant Township of Kachin State, a combined force of Kachin Independence Army and the PDF took control of the junta’s Ka-Ma-Ya (119) Camp in Tarmakhan.
The Military Council
- The junta’s delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs attended a high-level meeting on drawing up the action plans for the ASEAN Community Beyond 2025, held in Vientiane of Laos from 27 to 29 February.
- The junta propaganda team stated that they could regain control of Hopone-Maingpun Union Road and thus, the travelers could use it again.
- On Friday, a friendship ship from Thai Royal Navy arrived in Yangon.
- The junta propaganda team claimed that the confession video by Captain Arkar Myint about their murder of seven civilians in Mrauk-U of Rakhine State was just a made-up one.
- In the statement to the Farmers’ Day, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that it is essential to have good seeds, land, water and techniques to meet the target goal of crop production.
- On Saturday, the junta’s navy shot heavy weapons again on the Korea Port Market Area in Sittway of Rakhine State.
