The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • With an order by the Acting President of the NUG, a list of military ethics were released on Friday for the People’s Defence Forces to follow.
  • The NUG welcomed the exchange of discussion with the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Myanmar Tom Andrews as well as his report to the Human Rights Council.
  • In the west of Kawlin in Sagaing Region, 200 junta soldiers invaded the area. Consequently, there has been heavy fighting between them and local PDF.
  • The members of Yangon PDF Special Taskforce, under the disguise of junta members, attacked the junta’s Regional Military Headquarters.

Revolution Activities

  • In Pekone Township of Karenni State, the junta army conducted an air strike on a public hospital in La-I Village on Friday morning.
  • In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, there was an educational talk in a local village, regarding the preventive measures against airstrikes and heavy weapons.
  • There was a mine attack on a junta convoy on ChaungU-Monywa Road. Reportedly, two military trucks were damaged and 16 junta soldiers died.
  • As a 1091-day protest, a combined rally of local villages from Salingyi and Yinmabin marched against the military dictatorship on Friday.
  • In Monywa Township, two social groups supported food items and clothes to 456 households of the fire victims in Thetkekyin Village.
  • In Tanintharyi Township and Pulaw Township of Tanintharyi Region, the junta army shot mortars without any local battles on Thursday morning. Reportedly, three elderly displaced people including a woman were injured.
  • In Amarapura Township of Mandalay Region, a 100-household leader was shot dead in his house on the night of 20 March on his way back after collecting a list of military conscripts.
  • After the Island Hotel in Kawthaung of Tanintharyi Region was closed off, nearly 2,000 local people became jobless.
  • In Taze Township of Sagaing Region, a combined force of the junta army and Pyusawti Militia killed a man and took away public belongings.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

  • In Moemauk Township of Kachin State, the revolution forces led by the Kachin Independence Army attacked and seized the junta army camps near Nwe Malan Village.
  • On Thursday, the alliance of the KIA took complete control of six junta camps including Narphaw between the KIA’s Headquarters Laiza and Pajau Bum Village.
  • In Mindat of Chin State, it rained heavily along with strong wind on Thursday evening. Consequently, local schools, religious buildings and 200 houses were damaged.
  • Due to local battles in Sunprabun Township of Kachin State, over 1,000 people have been displaced and they have been in need of emergency assistance, according to the KIA.
  • In Karen State, there was an attack via drone and snipers on the junta army (19) in the area under the KNU. Reportedly, three junta soldiers died.

The Military Council

  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, the military junta summoned the administrators of 19 wards and ordered that they must provide 300 people as the quota of military servants.
  • On Thursday, Thai authorities sent back 48 junta soldiers who had run away from the junta camps on the Thai-Myanmar border at Methayawkhi and Karkhin.
  • In Moenyin Township of Kachin State, a village administrator was beaten in the selection of military servants by lots.
  • According to a junta propaganda newspaper on Friday, the junta militia in Mandalay was equipped with arms.
  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that in cooperation with the public, they would carry on with people-centered activities for peace of the nation and prosperity of the public.
  • The junta Ministry of Labor announced that there would be action against employment agencies which had asked money from the workers by showing the demand letters.

  • In addition to the military coup by force, the junta leader has given trouble to the public in various sectors including politics and economy. Additionally, he has revived the Military Service Law and recruited for his forces with a great military loss.
