The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • The United States of America officially announced that the government leaders of the NUG including the Acting President and the Union Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the team of the counselor of the United States Department of State Derek Chollet.
  • In a government meeting, the Union Prime Minister of the NUG Man Win Khine Than called on the responsible personnel to protect the people who have been resisting against the military junta and fulfill their needs as much as possible. He also called for the coordinated efforts of respective ministries for some needs.
  • On Thursday, the organizing committee admitted that the Second Public’s Conference conducted by the National Unity Consultative Council had not fully succeeded. They also expressed their sincere apology to the public.
  • According to Myeik District People’s Defence Force, the women from the drone force also took part in the bombing operation via drone on the junta’s Pala Police Station in Pulaw Township of Tanintharyi Region.
  • On Thursday, White Tiger Column completed their basic military training Batch (8).

Revolution Activities

  • According to the latest report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the number of displaced people in Myanmar due to armed conflicts is at a record high.
  • In Pekone Township of Southern Shan State, two children and a woman lost their lives due to the junta’s aerial bombing on Lwe Yin Village.
  • In Kalay Township of Sagaing Region, 80 civilians lost their lives due to the murder of the junta army in February, March and April.
  • In Kalay District and Tamu District, Mobile Medical Team-West Division and Kalay District Livelihood Committee conducted the educational talks on reducing the danger of air attacks, heavy weapons and landmines.
  • Somewhere in the upcountry, the 96 Soldiers – PDF group completed their refreshers’ course.
  • In Yinmabin Township, a rally of Taung Pu Thwe, together with local people and students, protested against the junta’s Military Service Law.
  • In Sintku Township, local PDF attacked the junta police station in Nwae Yone Village on Moegok-Mandalay Road. Reportedly, two junta policemen including a sergeant died and five others were injured.
  • The Prime Minister of Thailand instructed their departments and organizations to carefully deal with the issue so that the battles on the Myanmar side of the border would not affect their territory.
  • In North Okkalapa Township of Yangon Region, the Project Home conducted a mine attack on the administration office in Waziyar Ward for the unfair arrest of youth for the junta’s military service and for their use of bullies in the process.
  • Somewhere in Yangon, an alliance of Burmese Students’ Union conducted a guerrilla protest against the junta’s Military Service Law on Friday morning.
  • Somewhere in Karenni State, Karenni Humanitarian Team – KHT, on behalf of doners, cooked a meal for the displaced people.
  • In Yesagyo Township of Magway Region, Local Strike Committee, on behalf of the Way Family, donated 300,000 MMK to an IDP camp.
  • In Dibeyin Township, Local Brotherhood provided rice and oil to 40 displaced households.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

  • On Thursday night, the Arakan Army announced that the people in Rakhine State are not to celebrate Thingyan in groups due to heavy fighting in the local area.
  • Chin Brotherhood stated that they would join hands with the AA for the exchanges of protection and help between Rakhine locals and Chin people.
  • In the battle to seize the junta’s Ka-La-Ya (142) in Lweje, the Kachin Independence Army confiscated money worth 5,358,200,000 MMK. Reportedly, the Commander of the KIA Brigade (3) transferred it to the Eastern Funding Department.

The Military Council

  • The junta’s Education Department announced on Thursday that they would close off the schools which failed to register in accordance with the junta’s Private Education Law issued in May 2023.
  • Upon the report for the plan to assassinate Min Aung Hlaing, a brigadier general and some important personnel of Union Solidarity and Development Party were allegedly charged with corruption.
  • The junta’s Central Bank revoked the license of a money changer and suspended the license of 18 companies of purchase, sale and exchange of foreign currency for six months as they had failed to follow instructions.
  • For swift response in the counter-terrorism, Russia-Myanmar Joint Committee on Combating Terrorism conducted their second meeting.

  • The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing tends to hurt anyone who might harm his power. He did the same by threatening the USDP officials and the junta army officers with charges of corruption in order not to disturb him.
