· Suffering great losses, the military junta spread propaganda that it had been negotiating with the ethnic forces via China to stop fighting. However, the discussion did not work. There have been ongoing battles and the junta army has had to let go of more camps and towns. Instead of mentioning the Northern Alliance harshly like before, the junta spokesman just blamed the media saying that the media outlets have been trying to destabilise the meetings with their reporting.
