The National Unity Government (NUG)

· On the 76th Chin National Day on Tuesday, the Acting President of the NUG sent a statement with best wishes for the political aspiration of the Chin people against colonisation by the military dictatorship and self-determination.

· U Yi Mon, the Union Minister of Defence- NUG, has been in Northern Shan State. On Monday evening, a video was released, in which he was meeting with responsible personnel from the Ta’ang National Liberation Army and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army.

· In a statement to the 76th Chin National Day, Committee Representing the Pyitaungsu Hluttaw expressed its best wishes for all people including Chin nationals.

· On Monday, the Ministry of Human Rights- NUG announced that reports could be made to them regarding the junta’s violations of human rights via the abuse of the Public’s Military Service Law.

· According to the Bago Regional PDF, there were battles in Minhla Township of Bago Region. Reportedly, 40 junta soldiers died and a PDF member lost their life.

· At 10:00 am Monday, there was a meeting between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration- NUG and the Township People’s Administration Teams from Bago Region, Yangon Region, Tanintharyi Region and Ayeyarwady Region.

Revolutionary Activities

· The Prime Minister of Thailand stated that they would take action against Myanmar people who have illegally migrated to their country due to the junta’s compulsory military service law.

· In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, a rally named ‘Let’s Never Get Back in This Revolution’ marched against the military dictatorship.

· In Yinmabin Township, the junta army raided Bantbway Village at about 9:00 am Sunday. Reportedly, a person was killed and two others were injured.

· In Yaw Township of Magway Region, mines set by the junta’s Pyusawti Militia were found on the road section used by displaced people. Reportedly, there was mine clearance on Sunday.

· In Yetashay Township of Bago Region, there was a drone bomb attack on the junta army stationed at Kywe Yain Byin Sittaung River Bridge on Saturday morning. Reportedly, two junta soldiers died.

· In Longlone Township of Tanintharyi Region, local PDFs completed a refresher course for their medical team on Monday.

· In Yay Township of Mon State, there was an attack on the junta army at Kanthin Bridge on Monday morning. Reportedly, four junta soldiers died.

Ethnic Armed Organisations (EAOs)

· On Monday, the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS/SSA) stated that all ethnic people aged between 18 and 45 in Shan State must serve military duty.

· On Monday, the Three Brotherhood of Northern Alliance announced that the junta army had been the worst fascist one in the ASEAN since 2023.

· The Karen National Union stated that they would completely help youths and the public who go against the junta’s military service law.

· The junta army attacked the vehicles of local people on their way to Sisai with heavy weapons and drones. According to the Pa-O National Liberation Army, seven people died in the incident.

· On Sunday, the Head of the Defence Department under the Mon State Federal Council met with members of the Mon State Revolution Force and their allies.

· In Maungtaw of Rakhine State, the Arakan Army attacked and took control of the junta camp at Peyuntaung. Reportedly, they found 10 dead bodies of junta soldiers and confiscated many weapons.

· In Rakhine State the junta armed forces have withdrawn in Sittway, Ponnagyun, Yathay Taung, Yanbyae, Kyauk Phyu and Amh.

· In Mancy Township of Kachin State, an alliance of revolutionary forces led by the Kachin Independence Army seized the junta’s Sikhangyi Strategic Camp. Reportedly, they found about 50 bodies of junta soldiers.

· Naga PDF protested against the junta’s activities to transform the the Naga Social Council of Nagaland into one of their militias.

The Military Council

· In a statement for the 76th Chin National Day, the junta leader Min Aung Hlaing called on all the ethnic people to cooperate with the government to end armed conflict.

· According to the junta Minister of Natural Resources, there has been cooperation between Myanmar and its neighbour China to promote preventive measures against wildfires.

· The junta’s Passport Office stated that they would identify and take action against those who demand a large sum of money.

· There have been too many passport applicants all over the country. Reportedly, all the online appointments were fully booked until August at the Yangon Passport Office.

· The Royal Embassy of Thailand announced that visa appointments can be obtained online.

· According to the junta’s Ministry of Health, it has been preparing for the installation of three new radiation machines for cancer patients.

· According to the junta’s Myanmar Investment Commission, filling in the investment information for Section (2) will be accepted via online system after the trial period.

· According to the junta’s Ministry of Economics and Commerce, the Central Bank has continued to allow the spending of export income as before.

· According to the junta’s Yangon City Development Committee, an underground reservoir, which could store 200,000 gallons of water, will be built at the People’s Square for Thingyan.

Summary on 21 February

· In cooperation with the military junta, the RCSS announced that all the eligible ethnic people in Shan State must serve military duty. In other words, they got started with their activities to do the oppression against the public on an equal basis with the military dictators.
