Spring Revolution Daily News for 27 March 2024

The National Unity Government (NUG)

· In Tulsa, United States, there was a public meeting among Mayor G.T. Bynum, Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations U Kyaw Moe Tun and Myanmar people.

· The Acting President of the NUG called for a collective effort until the downfall of the military dictatorship for the sake of the public.

· The Acting President stated that the revolutionary forces need to take the public into consideration as Myanmar people are more than dutiful.

· According to Ministry of Defence-NUG, there was a discussion on military ethics at No. (2) Magway District People’s Defence Force (PDF).

· On Monday, there was a meeting between Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-NUG and Township People’s Administration from Sagaing Region, Magway Region and Mandalay Region.

Revolution Activities

· In Gyobingauk Township of Bago Region, a junta administrator and his son, who had been helping with the implementation of the junta’s Military Service Law, were shot dead.

· On the border of Thailand and Karenni State, Karenni Social Development Center completed their basic course (Batch 22) and advanced course (Batch 14) at No. (1) IDP Camp.

· The youth from the GSCN conducted a movement, calling for a ban of the companies importing jet fuel for the military junta.

· In Chaung-U Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army set fire to Monyway Market. They were faced with a mine attack. Reportedly, four of them died.

· The medical team from Students’ Force provided healthcare in some villages of Sagaing Region.

· In Butalin Township, Dagon University Students’ Union supported a temporary classroom and teaching aid for the students at a public school.

· In Myaing Township of Magway Region, there was a public rally against the military dictatorship on Tuesday.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· On Monday morning, Mon State Revolution Force (MSRF) completed their basic military training of the new members who had joined them to fight the military dictatorship.

· In Kawkarait Township of Karen State, two members of the revolution forces lost their lives whereas five junta soldiers died and 41 others were caught alive in the battle at Kawbain Police Station.

· According to the Arakan Army, the military junta has been trying to stimulate sensitive issues such as religious and racial conflicts in order to distract the public from their military loss.

· On Monday, the AA stated that they support the political aspirations of the whole public and they will stand firmly as an ally.

· The AA invited foreign investments in Rakhine State. They stated that they would protect the lives and property of project stakeholders and investors.

· The Chair of Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO) stated that the association with the enemy was just a daydream in the fight against the military dictatorship and thus, the remaining EAOs in the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement should take part in the revolution.

The Military Council

· The new Commander for Western Military Region of Rakhine State was Brigadier General Kyaw Zwar Oo.

· In Kawthaung on Myanmar-Thai border, the military junta does not allow non-local youth to enter the town.

· The military junta issued the contact numbers of state and region committees for query and report in regards to the public’s military service.

· The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that cotton must be exported and high-quality garments must be produced.

· The military junta will hold the ceremony of the 79th Military Day on the evening of 27 March.

Summary on 27 March

· Instead of the morning, the military junta would hold the Military Day’s March in the evening. Regarding it, the public have criticized that this is an omen for the sunset of the junta army.
