The National Unity Government (NUG)

  • Dr. Tu Khaung, a Union Minister of the NUG, stated that it is necessary to have a place to stand firm when pushing a massive object and the same is true for the whole country to have a secure and supportive position. He added that they have been making an effort for it.
  • On Thursday, there was a meeting between the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public’s Administration and District People’s Administration from Sagaing Region and Magway Region.
  • According to Union Prime Minister of the NUG Man Win Khine Than, the Central Committee on the Interim Public’s Administration has formed and approved of People’s Administration Teams in 174 townships and they have managed 38 townships.
  • Pale Township People’s Administration has taken care of a man, who was selected by lots to serve in the military and who ran away with his family.

Revolution Activities

  • In Khin-U Township of Sagaing Region, the junta army set fire to 53 houses in Mone Hla Village.
  • In Kani Township, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing via fighter jet on Natgyi Village at about 1:00 am Friday.
  • In Shwebo Township, the defence forces attacked a car carrying three people including Tun Naing, a local Pyusawti leader. Reportedly, all the people in the car died and a gun was confiscated.
  • In Salingyi Township, a combined rally protested against the junta’s Military Service Law.
  • In Kyungsu Township of Tanintharyi Region, there were four local clashes on Wednesday. Reportedly, four people including a junta’s Pyusawti leader died.
  • In Mawlamyein of Mon State, the youth from NRFF-New Rehmonny Federated Force expressed their objection to the military dictatorship and the junta’s Military Service Law.
  • In Kachin State, Kachin Independence Army (KIA) surrounded Lweje, a town on the border with China. Reportedly, they gave some time for the junta forces and the departmental staff to leave the town.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

  • In Kyaik Mayaw Township of Mon State, the junta army shot mortars into Damatha Village. Regarding it, New Mon State Party (Against the Dictatorship) stated that it was an attack targeting civilians and it was a war crime.
  • According to the Arakan Army, 25 junta soldiers died in the battles near Ahn of Rakhine State and near Ngaphe in Magway Region.

The Military Council

  • In Dawpone Township and Mayangone Township of Yangon Region, the junta police, departmental staff and administrators took away some young people for military service.
  • Citing the Defence Ministry of Russia, RIA stated that Myanmar’s Army and Russian Army would do over 50 military acts of cooperation in 2024.
  • The Deputy Chief Police Officer under the junta’s Ministry of Home Affairs was transferred to the civil department.
  • Taking advantage of the Military Service Law, the military junta recruited the youth and sent them to No. (1) Training School in Tightgyi Township of Yangon Region on Friday.
  • There were exchanges of prestigious titles between the two armies of Myanmar and Russia to promote military and technical cooperation as well as their strategic partnership.

Summary on 30 March

  • Despite the claim that the military training would be at the end of April according to the law, the military junta has started their recruitment and already provided the training. In some places, they have even taken away some youth, whose names are not on the list, by force for military service.
