The National Unity Government (NUG)

· The 112th International Labour Conference will reportedly be held in June. Union Prime Minister Man Win Khine Than called on the international labour organizations including the ILO to recognize the delegation of the NUG.

· Ministry of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Risks Management-NUG warned the public to take caution of the temperature changes in the upcoming week.

· In Sintku Township of Mandalay Region, Mandalay People’s Defence Force attacked and seized the junta army camp based in Wapochat Village.

· At 3:00 pm Tuesday, there was a meeting (8/2024) between Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration-NUG and Township People’s Administration from Yangon Region.

· According to the NUG, tax worth 89,884 million MMK (22.98 million USD) was collected in the areas under their influence in 2023 and 60% of it was used for administration and defence.

· In a government meeting, Acting President of the NUG Duwa Lashi La called for the adoption of self-determination in the militarily liberated and controlled areas during the ongoing defensive war.

· Karenni State Interim Executive Council announced on Wednesday that local wards and villages have been in great danger from unexploded weapons including landmines.

Revolution Activities

· All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) stated that those who would like to pass along the Moemait-Twinnge Road must obtain a permit from the responsible personnel of respective revolution forces.

· On Wednesday, the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front completed basic military training Batch (11) at Daung Taman Camp.

· In Ye-U of Sagaing Region, the junta army arrested no less than 20 young people even at homes.

· In Ye-U, there was an attack via mortars on the junta inspection gate in town. Reportedly, 4 junta soldiers were seriously injured.

· In Beelin Township of Mon State, an assistant director of the junta prison department was shot dead in Yet Kan Thema Village.

· According to Assistance Association for Political Prisoners on Wednesday, the military junta has unjustly confiscated the houses belonging to 934 people from the coup of February 2021 to April 2024.

· In Bangkok, Thailand, Myanmar migrant workers conducted a protest against Myanmar’s military dictatorship in a march for World Labour Day.

· In Yesagyo Township of Magway Region, 4 local people lost their lives in April due to the killing and shooting of the junta army.

· In Yangon, Burmese Students’ Union and their alliance conducted an anti-junta movement, hanging the banner calling on the labour force to wake up with power.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In the east of Demoso Township in Karenni State, Military Strategic Unit (7) of Karenni National Defence Force, comprising the members from Karenni State and Southern Shan State, completed their basic military training Batch (1) on Tuesday.

· In Kanpetlet Township of Chin State, Chin Revolution Forces managed to seize the junta’s Myoma Station in Kyin Dway after an attack lasting for 54 days.

· In Kyaikto Township of Mon State, there was a battle between the junta army and the combined force of Karen National Liberation Army near the junta’s inspection gate of Moat Palin Crossroads on Yangon-Mawlamyein Road.

· In Hpa Kant of Kachin State, the KPDF arrested a junta policeman in plain clothes on his way to transfer money.

The Military Council

· In Belgrade, Serbia, the junta’s Ambassador U Aung Min Oo was present at the working lunch hosted by H.E. Mr. Aleksandar Vučić to the ambassadors and diplomats from Asian Embassies based there.

· The junta Minister of Foreign Affairs received the new Indian Ambassador to Myanmar in Naypyidaw on Tuesday.

· According to the junta’s Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC), an agreement was signed for the cooperation of the project on Tar Mway Modern Market including a 6-storey market building.

· The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed that they have been striving for the establishment of a peaceful, prosperous, modern and disciplined democratic nation.
