Spring Revolution Daily News for 7 June 2024

The National Unity Government (NUG)

· On the two-year anniversary of Danger Force LPDF, the members were equipped with uniforms, armour and guns on Thursday.

· In Cooperation with Ministry of Human Rights-NUG, Yangon Regional People’s Defence Force under Ministry of Defence-NUG provided training on human rights and the military code of conduct to the members of Unit (5101) and the new recruits joining the military training.

· According to Southern Military Region under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, nearly 1,000 PDF members completed their training within two months.

· On the afternoon of 2 June, the junta armed forces conducted aerial bombings and fired heavy weapons at Myogone Hospital in Shweku Township of Kachin State and Khin Shay Village in Pauk Township of Magway Region. According to Ministry of Health-NUG, a child lost their life and 17 people including the medical staff were injured.

· In Washington D.C of the United States, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs- NUG met with the responsible personnel of Special Advisory Council for Myanmar Delegation on Wednesday.

· The Chair of Karenni State Interim Executive Committee stated that they had accumulated funds worth 8310 million MMK via the support of the NUG and international organizations within a year.

· According to Minister of Planning, Finance and Investment-NUG, the Spring Development Bank of the NUG have been carrying out negotiations in Chin and Karenni for microfinance.

· In Canberra of Australia, Minister of Foreign Affairs-NUG met with Australian Foreign Minister H.E. the Hon Penny Wong on Tuesday and discussed Myanmar’s affairs.

· According to Ministry of Defence-NUG, they were able to provide military training to nearly 1,000 people who would like to serve as PDF members from those who have taken refuge from the junta’s Military Service Law.

Revolution Activities

· In Yinmabin Township of Sagaing Region, a rally named ‘Let’s Never Get Back in This Revolution’ marched against the military dictatorship on Thursday.

· In Chaung-U Township, there was a mine attack on the junta army demanding money from the public near Mon Yway Gate at about 9:00 am on 3 June. Reportedly, 2 junta soldiers died.

· In Chaung-U Township, there were bomb attacks via drone on the police station and the general administration office on Tuesday. Reportedly, 3 junta soldiers were seriously injured.

· In Pale, the PDFs attacked the stations of the junta armed forces in town, including the administration department, for three consecutive days.

· In a battle in which 7 junta soldiers died in Industrial Zone of Monywa, a PDF member was hit with a bullet. Reportedly, he died on Wednesday while receiving medical treatment.

· In Mingaladone Township and Shwe Pyi Thar Township of Yangon Region, there were mine attacks on two junta targets on Tuesday night. Reportedly, there were casualties.

· In Madayar Township of Mandalay Region, the junta army killed 3 people and discarded their lifeless bodies in a ditch on Tuesday evening.

· In Magway Region, there were bomb attacks on troops on their way out from the junta army (101) base in Pakkoku on 3 and 4 June. Reportedly, 10 junta soldiers died and the troops retreated with the dead and the injured.

· In Ywar Ngan Township of Southern Shan State, Man Kyaw, the administrator of Nabangyi Village working for the military junta, was shot dead on Thursday.

· In commemoration of the birthday of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, a musical play will be performed in New Delhi of India at 3:00 pm on 19 June.

· In a new report by Special Advisory Council for Myanmar (SAC-M) on 30 May, it was mentioned that the revolution forces have been in great momentum in 2024 whereas the military junta has had constant losses.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

· In Sisai Township of Southern Shan State, Pa-O National Organization under the military junta arrested and killed a person from Kayanle Village on the night of 2 June, according to Pa-O National Liberation Army.

· In Kyaikto Township under Karen National Union, the junta army in Theinzayat fired mortars. According to Karen National Union (Central), a pregnant woman was injured and two houses were damaged.

· In Kutkhine, Monemaw and Namhein of Northern Shan State, Kachin Independence Organization got started with their administration.

· In Muse, Lashio and Hsipaw of Northern Shan State, the military junta has constantly strengthened their forces, according to the Kachin Independence Army.

· In Chin State, Chin National Army and CDF attacked and seized the town of Tunzan. Reportedly, over 110 weapons were confiscated and photos were released.

The Military Council

· On Wednesday, the junta’s Central Bank announced that they fully protect the savings of the public.

· For 2024-2025 academic year, nearly 6.8 million students were enrolled in public schools, private schools and monastic schools.

· As for the businesses who have to repay the debt and the interest for their loans from the COVID-19 fund, they must repay as soon as possible before 1 July.

· According to the junta committee, the illegal goods worth nearly 4300 million MMK were confiscated in May.

· According to the junta Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, nearly 2,500 students have been learning subjects related to agriculture and livestock at joint high schools.

· According to the junta Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar government and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) discussed ongoing and future cooperation.

Summary on 7 June

· Over the period of the coup for three years, the military junta has had a great loss and they have had less control of areas. They have also failed to overcome the economic downturn. Due to their mismanagement, Myanmar is getting progressively worse in various sectors.
